Bureaucrats are users who can mass-delete pages, add and remove bureaucrat, admin, and bot rights, and perform some more advanced admin actions with the SocialProfile and related extensions. Bureaucrat rights will be granted upon request, although requesters must first be an administrator. Bureaucrat rights are required for any user seeking to gain sysadmin or steward. A automatically generated list including all rights can be consulted here. This is one of the six default MediaWiki user groups, see mw:Help:User rights and groups.
